"A RECENT PHENOMENON" is as follows

it came to me in feverish morning hypnopompia
well it didn't but i constructed it with pieces thus
screamed songs without any of the screaming
traumatic experiences without contact in person
everything happens even if you don't deserve it
praise to the ones who have now left me behind
for you did something i didn't have the balls to do
having excised me from lives long left unfinished
not knowing how to feel about these happenings
i suffer flashbacks trying to get myself on track
even when life has the best to offer it eats away
still new revelations guide me through each day

"A PERSONAL NOTE" is as follows

i was originally going to put out this album on the third (!) anniversary of Daughter of Sappho / Recovery's initial release, but i refrained, as is apparent from the fact that this album is out two days before said anniversary. i'm surprised that people still engage with Daughter of Sappho / Recovery at all, albeit not mad or anything, because the nature of the woman i was during that brief stretch of time remains difficult to ascertain both for myself and onlookers, and this new record isn't about any of my old wounds. this record is about joy emerging from the uncertainties of reality, rage both compassionate and self-preserving, and learning where to place trust, for i can ascertain the nature of the woman i am now and tell you she knows how to take care of herself. this in mind, it wouldn't be fitting to correlate the first glimpse of light i ever had in my life with the candlelight of a work like this.
