Late at night, I make considerations for my health. In what ways am I able to help myself extend in multiple directions, maintain a clear mind throughout the seemingly-everlasting-until-it's-not day? I ponder and then forget the nitty-gritty as I sleep everything off, undergoing reverse osmosis to absolve the pains of sunlight as twilight concludes and the immediate world approaches midnight. In the deep mind and the remembering heart, I make the consideration that my Latin exam might not go as planned, and I mumble to myself about how it's survivable, how I can go into it with confidence if I pay careful enough attention to my own intellectual drive and stimulate my perception in every way pertinent to my score on a centigrade metric of Tacitean understanding. My studies will afterward culminate in a few final exams and a paper, and then I'll be led into my birthday, by which time I will have hand-picked all the courses necessary for me to inch toward matriculation's temporary conclusion prior to entering graduate school for the same major I've allowed to consume much of my waking existence - linguistics. Arbitrary associations and meanings will continue to guide me during this time, but I will remember that love is everywhere and consider it an absolute, no matter how strange my standing becomes in doing so. Consider this a thanks to the world.
